This study aims to analyze the content of bioactive compounds in cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura L.) through qualitative phytochemical tests. Cherry leaves are known to have pharmacological potential such as antioxidants, antimicrobials, and anti-inflammatories, which come from their secondary metabolites. The extraction process was carried out by the maceration method using 96% ethanol as a solvent, followed by testing using specific reagents such as Mayer, Dragendorff, Wagner, FeCl₃, and foam tests. The results showed that cherry leaf extract contains flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins which are characterized by the formation of deposits and color changes in specific reagents, while the test for saponins showed negative results. The presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, and tannins supports the therapeutic potential of cherry leaves, so it is worthy of further research for the development of herbal medicine.
