Tomato (Solanum Lycopersicum) is a vegetable commodity that is widely known by the public and has a high nutritional value. One of the factors affecting the productivity of tomato plants is nutrient binders. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of corn cobs and coconut coir biocar planting media on the productivity of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) plants using verticulture techniques. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 7 treatments with 4 replications namely PO (100% soil), P1 (60% soil + 40% corn cob biocar), P2 (50% soil + 50% corn cob biocar), P3 (40% land + 60% corn cob biocar), P4 (60% land + 40% coconut fiber), P5 (50% land + 50% coconut fiber) and P6 (40% land + 60% coconut fiber), observed variables such as the number of bunches of flowers, the number of flowers planted, the number of fruit bunches, the number of fruit planted, the number of fruit bunches and fruit fresh weight/kg. The results showed that the planting media for biocar corn cob and coconut fiber had an effect on the productivity of tomato plants, where the 50% coconut fiber treatment gave the highest productivity of tomato plants and not using growing media gave the lowest results.
