Pengaruh Variasi Kitosan dari Eksoskeleton Lobster Air Laut terhadap Atraktabilitas Pakan Buatan Lobster

Lobsters are marine organisms with high economic value in the global market, driving the advancement of lobster aquaculture. However, lobster farming has traditionally relied on fresh feed, which is limited in availability and cannot sustainably support long-term aquaculture. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of chitosan concentration, derived from the exoskeletons of marine lobsters, on the attractability of artificial lobster feed. A quantitative approach was employed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and five replications. The chitosan concentrations tested were 0%, 0.6%, 0.7%, 0.8%, and 0.9%. Data were analyzed using ANOVA with SPSS version 25, followed by a Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results revealed that chitosan concentration significantly influenced feed attractability. The artificial feed containing 0.6% chitosan exhibited the highest attractability (16–60%), whereas the 0.9% concentration resulted in the lowest attractability (0–4%). The optimal chitosan concentration for enhancing the attractiveness of artificial lobster feed ranged between 0% and 0.7%.
