Abstract

The biodiversity of living organisms at IPB University is a distinct advantage for exploring various types of organisms, particularly fungi. The extensive area of IPB University and the abundance of green open spaces support the growth of fungal diversity. This study aims to identify the macroscopic structure of fungi and observe the diversity of fungi within the IPB University bamboo forest area. The data collection technique employed was the exploration sampling method. Fungal samples were observed in greater detail through their macroscopic structures as a reference for identifying fungal species. The fungal samples obtained in this study were Gymnopus sp., Marasmiellus sp., and Mycena sp. These fungi each have unique fruiting body characteristics, indicating that the macroscopic characteristics of fungi vary and possess distinct features that contribute to the diversity of macroscopic fungi found at IPB University.
